Oukitel K5000 vs Samsung Galaxy S8: Winner Takes it All
Given the status and price of the Samsung Galaxy S8, you may think it doesn’t make senses comparing its specs to that of the a more affordable Oukitel K5000. But wait till you see their specs side-by-side, you will understand why the K5000 is a worthy contender.
Some days back, Oukitel announced a new smartphone and it is called Oukitel K5000.
Like most Oukitel phones in the Oukitel K series, the 5000 attached to the “K” denotes the battery capacity of the Oukitel K5000.
But big battery is not all the K5000 has to offer. We will look at its other specs side by side with one of Samsung’s top phones – the Galaxy S8.
Oukitel K5000 vs Galaxy S8
Oukitel K5000 comes with 5.7-inch display while the Galaxy S8 comes with 5.8-inch display, but their displays have a lot in common.
Although the display of the Samsung Galaxy S8 is slightly bigger, they both feature HD+ infinity display and also have the same aspect ratio of 18:9.
Coming to design, both devices have the same design features, with both featuring 2.5D curved glass, 3D edge and bezel-less frame.
Although both devices look alike to some extent, there are some minor differences in their design. For instance, the rather too small fingerprint scanner of the Samsung Galaxy S8 is place at the right side of the back camera with the LED flash light at the left. While the Oukitel K5000 has its fingerprint scanner below the camera with the LED flash light at the right side of the camera.
Memory, Chipset and Battery
When it comes to memory, both Oukitel K5000 and the Samsung Galaxy S8 come loaded with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. But the S8 has an edge over the K5000 in terms of storage expandability.
The Galaxy S8 storage can be expanded to up to 256 GB with micro SD card while that of the K5000 can be expanded to up to a maximum of 128 GB with SD card.
Coming to chipset, the K5000 sports MediaTek MT6750T chipset which is not bad on its own, but inferior to the Snapdragon 835 chipset the Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with.
It is worth mentioning that both chipsets feature the same number of processors which is 8 (octa-core).
When it comes to battery, the Oukitel K5000 will serve you longer than the Galaxy S8 as it comes with 5000 mAh battery, compared to the 3000 mAh battery of the S8.
The K5000 adopts a Samsung 3P3 21MP (interpolate) front camera and a back camera built with Sony IMX 135 16MP (interpolated) sensor.
On the other hand, the Galaxy S8 sports an 8MP front camera and a 12MP back camera.

It can clearly be seen that the Oukitel K5000 has a lot in common with the Galaxy S8 and although they both have their strong side and weak side, the K5000 have a strong edge over the S8 in that it is way more affordable than the S8.
In summary, it can be said that the Oukitel K5000 is a worthy cheaper alternative to the Samsung Galaxy S8.
